Dreamforce 2025. That’s a wrap!

Dreamforce is over for another year and I have come back exhausted, slightly jet-lagged, but energised and genuinely excited about the direction of the ecosystem. As always, the best part was the people. I reconnected with a lot of familiar faces and met plenty of new ones, often in the queues, the corridors, or late at night when plans go off script.

The clear theme this year was the rise of what Salesforce is calling the Agentic Enterprise. In simple terms, it is the idea that AI agents and humans will soon operate side by side as standard, not as an optional bolt-on. We are moving from AI as a clever assistant to AI as a working participant inside our businesses.

Slack as the “Agentic OS”

Salesforce is putting real weight behind Slack. The positioning was not subtle. Slack is being framed as the operating system of the enterprise. It becomes the place where work actually happens and where AI agents sit and operate with us, rather than having people bounce between separate apps and interfaces. If Salesforce succeeds here it will fundamentally change how teams experience daily work.

Agentforce 360 announced

The bigger structural shift was the release of Agentforce 360, a unified platform to build, deploy and govern AI agents across sales, service, marketing and beyond. It is not just another product name. It marks a reframing of the clouds themselves.

Great to be back!

Instead of thinking in terms of Sales Cloud or Service Cloud, we now have Agentforce Sales and Agentforce Service. The message is clear. AI is not a feature living inside the product. It becomes the layer that drives the product.

For candidates and hiring managers this matters. It signals the skill-sets that will soon be in highest demand. People who understand process, governance, risk, integrations and human workflows will be just as critical as pure builders.

What it means for the CRM talent market

From a recruitment lens I take away three signals.

  • The next differentiation in careers will not be AI versus non-AI skills. It will be people who can pair domain knowledge with the ability to design, supervise and co-work with agents.
  • Titles will shift again. We will see a class of hybrid roles appear around AI governance, agent orchestration, risk, and enterprise integration on top of Salesforce.
  • The competitive advantage for teams will not come from tooling, but from how quickly humans and agents are brought together into one operating model.

Beyond the stages and slides

Of course, Dreamforce never feels like work only. It’s a theme park and a music festival as it is a conference.

I tried to improve my handicap at the LIV Golf simulator. I also managed to live out my F1 fantasy (albeit in a simulator!). Safe to say it’s lucky I’m good at this recruiting gig….

And then of course there was Dreamfest. Being front row for Metallica does not get less surreal when you say it out loud. What an experience

The dream really is a reality

Dreamforce remains one of the few places where you can see the technical, commercial and cultural changes converge at once. If the Agentic Enterprise sounds like hype, it did not feel like hype in the room. It felt like a direction baked into the roadmap rather than a marketing slogan.

I return with the same mix I always do after Dreamforce. Tired, informed, slightly deaf, and already thinking ahead to what this means for how we coach candidates and build teams over the next twelve months. The next phase of CRM careers will not be about replacement. It will be about co-working at scale. And that shift is now officially underway.

Thanks Dreamforce, great to catch up with everyone — see you next time!
